The book is written in such a way that you truly feel that you are following the developments of the investigation, only occasionally jarred out of this by a retrospective comment.

The fact that the visit was debated at all shows that the visit was historical, and that the discussion was about whether or not to delete the visit from the story to be told, and not about whether or not to fabricate a visit which never took place. Amaral’s book is unaware of this, and also the Prosecutor of the Republic, in its end report entitled “Despacho de arquivo” demonstrates a baffling ignorance concerning the issue.

If I give this book a high rating that’s not of course for literary merit which it never pretended to have even though written with admirable conciseness and straightforwardness originally in a Portuguese idiom which may not always translate quite as it should into English. Matthew’s visit was for the group not a solution to some problem, but itself a problem that needed a solution.
It definitely left me thinking that the parents had some involvement in Madeline’s death. If you look or think back to the interview the morning after she went missing, the Mccanns were not upset at all, sorry but if a mother had her little girl taken she would be inconsolably upset.
These offensive statements seem to have evolved through both cultural differences verdzde misinformation, although they dz do apply to the situation in question, they are certainly not true representations of British parenting and Amaral should not have generalised in this way. To do that, I requested early retirement in order to be able to express myself freely. Hopefully the whole truth will come out one day. I found a pdf translation on the internet. However, the reader will have access to unpublished information, to new interpretations of events — always with respect for the law — and, of course, to relevant enquiries.

Very informative, cannot understand why this book would be banned, but then I don’t understand anything the McCanns do, the story sadly gerdade me of ‘Small Sacrifices’ by Ann Rule and hopefully this book along with the documentary will bring the truth forward.

I know it is available online but I would never read a full book on the internet, and I am sure there are many others the same. There is also a factual inaccuracy in an early chapter where Amaral talks about the possibility of Madeleine being drugged by Calpol.

A book that brings new lights about the “Maddie’s Case”, that is a very complex one and that bring some new light to everyone who want to see it, and have it own oppinion.
