Thank you for the answer. I am interpreting the picture of the printed circuit board of the relay module with accompanying notes as follows:.
If it does – no need for any external components.
jqc-3fv Normally closed, which means that when the relay is off a digital low “0” is received from Arduino the device is ON Out1: On the Arduino side there datasjeet Normally open, which means that when the relay is on a digital high “1” is received from Arduino the device is ON. You could easily check this with an Ohmmeter or following the traces on the board. As Ghanima was a bit more explicit I’ve marked his answer as accepted. Sign up or log in Sign up using Google.
I’ll already tested wiring and relay using LED before posting. The diagrams below should help you understand the layout of the relay board. I know people recommend having resistor and transistor on IN line too, but are these necessary in this particular type of relay? I understand such a question can sound silly for electrical engineer, but I’m software engineer venturing in electrical world and need some guidance.

From the trace on the board it would seem that the middle resistor 1 kOhm is attached to the “IN” pin serving exactly this purpose.
So, using Out1 a “1” will turn on the device and a “0” will turn off the device. I’ve tested components on board and can confirm it has: This voltage is consistent with the operating voltage on the relay”.
This page was last modified on 13 Juneat We recommend using a swappable cable to do this with, as using a relay requires you to perform some minor surgery on the appliance’s cable. Do I need to add anything else for relay to work safely and reliably? Thank you very much for your answer, I hope this topic will be helpful for others too. Sending a digital high or a “1” will trigger the relay.
Above is relay I’m using and everything works as expected using diagram below. The relay in use is: Home Ratasheet Tags Users Unanswered.
Tutorial: DFR0017 V2 Relay
Cut and strip a portion of the positive wire so that you end up with two ends of the wire as shown in Figure 2. Signal Vcc Ground On the appliance side there is: No large currents here, nothing to worry. Using single 5V relay jqc-3ff-s-z – safety advice required Ask Question.
Please be vary carful not to play with live circuits! I am interpreting the picture of the printed circuit board of the relay module with accompanying notes as follows: Sending a digital low or “0” will disable the relay. The relay should have the positive wire of the device being used connected to “IN” and to “Out 1” as shown in figure 2, and any digital signal pin on the arduino end For example pin
