As of this review July 18,the latest stable version of Ruby is 2. Partway through I was struggling with it and tried to switch to learning from a website, but the site made me appreciate how much I’d already learned from the book so I stuck with flanagaj. This is not designed to be an entertaining look, but a detailed study of the Matusmoto language. I never really finished this book.

Seldom do I find technical references such a joy to read.
