This book is really hard to rate because it started out so good. So she can’t explain why she bought it. And as long as there are no children or animals involved. Completely subjective, but I found it neither sexy nor romantic. I think that if there would have been less internal dialogue and more action, I would have enjoyed this book more than I did.

The woman who comes to his rescue should not be able to acknowledge his presence, but this fragile human woman not only sees him but heals him with the touch of her hands. I won’t even begin to try to explain the world building in this series; I will just say that there are some very cool aspects Middle East-influence and some worrying parts public sex for educational purposes.

Strangely enough, Trace and Ashla form a unique connection even though they both Ecstasy is the first book in a new spin-off series by Jacquelyn Frank. She is the only living person until she finds two huge warrior men fighting one another in a department store. Not only that, when Trace is mortally wounded, this woman, Ashla, is able to heal him.

I don’t know what’s happened. See, more is better! I tried very hard to like this new world but it was a tough read and fans should be warned that this is not a continuation of the Nightwalker series. Magnus, Trace’s father, has the next storyline later this year and I’m hoping will go a long way in fleshing out more of this layered storyline.

Ecstasy (Shadowdwellers, book 1) by Jacquelyn Frank

This girl gets killed in a car accident, then becomes a weird half dead wraith- soul. Among the Shadowdwellers, Trace holds power that some are willing to kill for. I already have the next book, ready to go! The Fade sounded neat and I guess since they are Shadowdwellers I expected them to be in the fade more.

Leaving Ashla in a coma and trapped in ecstasj cape, what is shadowscape?

REVIEW: Ecstasy by Jacquelyn Frank | The Good, The Bad and The Unread

Susan knows she should keep her distance. It revolved around sex way to much for my tastes, the “Nightwalkers” are in some way kind of tame in comparison. In the last couple of books, there has been mention of the ‘Shadowdwellers’ – another race of beings not really mixing with the rest of the things-that-go-bump-in-the-night.

And he will do whatever it takes to be with her. The “romance” is essentially a guy raping a girl and she’s so lonely that she welcomes any social interaction she can find.

Loved the book, fit in with her series. Mass Market Paperbackpages. Or really long lived? I think she’s the reason i wanted to give it a three. REVIEW: Ecstasy by Jacquelyn Frank

But when Sagan is taken captive and thrust into the Alaskan wilderness, he encounters a woman who challenges his faith and his self-control. But as the two work together to unravel the mystery of his past, she finds herself drawn in by his teasing nature and tender touch. Running out of plot ideas? However, this ‘Lost’ person can clearly see and hear Trace, something that has never happened before.

Is their love doomed—or is it strong enough to transcend time, and even death itself? The many pages spent on their lovemaking are crass and border on erotica more than romance.

The Shadowdwellers series has captured my interest and I wanna know all about the nightlife, and the sexiness that is shadow dweller. I am not completely sure what it was but I loved her right off. Being the first in the series I understand all the “history” Frank had to give us Other books in the series. Ashla Townsend finds herself in a post apocalyptic world after she wakes up from a fatal car crash. Sep 27, Barbara rated it it was ok.

Aug 16, Julie jjmachshev rated it really liked it Shelves: But then again, if it did it would just be another Nightwalker book so I should have known better. She heals the phycopath that just murdered a man infront of her.

I enjoyed her character, she reminds me of Bella from Jacobthat whole tiny packages with explosive qualities For Kathryn has a wholly unexpected power over him, not only for what she represents but for what she is: Nov 27, Sammy Loves Books rated it liked it Shelves: So when the opportunity to buy—and renovate—the old home known as Seaside arrived, he leapt at the chance.

This guy has gone crazy and will not stop going until two men have to physically pull him off her. They basically exist on two different planes, Realscape – our plane – and Shadowscape, a plane that is accessible only to Shadowdwellers and what they call the Lost, or humans whose souls have come disconnected from their bodies.

Preview — Ecstasy by Jacquelyn Frank.

This book from the very first page bothered me. Trace knows that Ashla can only exist in Shadowscape and that he can’t safely stay there very long.

Having risked everything to obtain her, Frrank soon realizes his mistake. Not erotica, but if you find Ward uncomfortable I didn’t realize that the nightwalkers spun into this series, Shadowdwellers. Jacquelyn Frank’s creativity has yet to disappoint me on the other hand.
